The Department of Mechanical Engineering at AISAT, Kalamassery, stands as a center of excellence in technical education and research. Established in 2011, the department offers a four-year B.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering, aimed at developing well-rounded professionals with strong technical acumen, practical skills, and ethical values. The department is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and has been consistently striving to meet global standards in engineering education.

Responsibilities and functions
• It is the prime body responsible for the management of the Institution.
• Decide the overall strategic direction in terms of approval of the academic, financial and administrative policies of the institution.
• Recommendations and requirements suggested by college council is considered and reviewed.
• Ensures that the ordinances, policies and rules published by the KTU, AICTE and Govt. of Kerala are followed and implemented.
• To formulate new academic programs / short term courses / training facilities /seminars for student and staff development.
• To address the complaints of the students and staffs and take necessary actions required.
• Approve the requirements proposed by Principal for enhancing the academic excellence.

Internal Management Committee

Internal Management Committee (IMC)
The IMC consists of Manager, Associate Manager, Director, Principal, Vice Principal, Heads of all departments, Dean, Director of Placement and Training Cell, IQAC coordinator and Administrative Officer.
