B.TECH LATERAL ENTRY
Lateral Entry Scheme is intended to admit meritorious Diploma holders to the Second Year/Third Semester of the B. Tech courses to acquire a Degree in Engineering. Lateral Entry Scheme is approved by the Government of Kerala for 10% of the sanctioned seats in addition to total seats.

Eligibility for Admission (Lateral Entry)
- The candidate should be a diploma holder.
- Those who are appearing for the final year diploma examination are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will produce the Qualifying Certificate (Original or Provisional) at the time of admission.
- Candidates will be admitted only to the branch of Engineering as per the equivalency given by the DTE, Govt. of Kerala.
- Maximum age as on the last date of submission of application will be 30 years.
- The admission will be subject to regulations prescribed by the DTE and of the Universities concerned.

Fee structure for management seats & Govt. allotment (New admission)#
Fee structure is same for Govt and Management seats and is as given below:
Tuition fee. Rs.1,00,500 per year
University Fees. Rs 2330. per year
Fee for value added special facilities. Rs.10,000 per year.
Refundable Caution deposit. Rs.10,000 on admission.
Admission fee. Rs.500.
Exam fee. As per University regulations

Scholarships and Fee Waivers
Scholarships to Entrance Top Rank Holders
Fee waiver is granted to students with Kerala Entrance Rank as Follows:
- Rank up to 10000 : No Tuition Fee
- Rank Between 10001 and 15000 : Rs 10000/- Tuition Fees only
- Rank Between 15001 and 20000 : Rs 20000/- Tuition Fees only
Scholarship Based on Plus Two PCM Marks
Rev. Fr. Augustine Konnully Memorial Scholarship based on Plus two PCM Marks (Average of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)
- For those having above 95% and above – No Tuition Fee
- For those having marks between 90% to 94% – Scholarship of Rs. 40,000/-
- For those having marks between 85% to 89% – Scholarship of Rs. 30,000/-
- For those having marks between 75% to 84% – Scholarship of Rs. 20,000/-
- For those having marks between 70% to 74% – Scholarship of Rs. 10,000/-
This will be continued for the following years, provided that there is value addition in the performance of such students.

GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES
- A student can avail any one of the above scholarship schemes. At the time of admission, a student can apply for any one of the above-mentioned schemes.
- Merit Scholarship is awarded based on the CGPA/percentage at the time of admission. After the publication of final result, if the CGPA falls below the stipulated CGPA, the scholarship will be considered in appropriate category, if applicable.
- Scholarships are liable to be withdrawn, partially or wholly, in case of misconduct, deliberate concealment of materials/facts and/or supply of false information, and/or continued absence of more than one month except on medical grounds.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Attendance
Students are expected to attend all classes without fail. If, for unavoidable reasons, leave of absence is required, permission from competent authority should be sought.
Discipline, Conduct and Behaviour
- All students should reach the classroom on time and shall not leave the class without the permission of the teacher.
- All students should wear proper uniform with shoes.
- The behavior of the students, both within and outside the college premises should be decent and befitting to a professional institution.
- Students must park their vehicles only in the space allotted. They should not bring four-wheelers to the campus as they arrive for classes.
- Students found guilty of ragging will be dismissed from the college as per the Supreme Court ruling.
- Students are prohibited to bring or use mobile phones within the campus.
- This, being an eco–friendly campus, plastic or other trash should not be thrown inside the college or in the premises.
- Students shall communicate only in English language among themselves and with the faculty members. This is a conscious effort to improve the English communication skill of students.
- Students shall keep themselves informed of the instructions issued to them from time to time orally or through notices/ circulars and emails.
- Students are expected to contribute towards the academic/ social/environmental initiatives that the Institute may undertake.
- Peer teaching and knowledge sharing among students should be the priority in accordance with the Albertian culture.
- Participation in intercollegiate programmes, within the city or outside, is subject to permission of the Principal.
- For outstation programmes including study tour, the students are required to submit a permission letter from their parents.
- Students are required to keep safe custody of their valuables. They should maintain decency and decorum during cultural events, be it inside the campus or outside.
- Laptops/ Computers are to be used within the campus for academic purposes only.
- Any unhealthy relationship between students that might affect their academic performance, breach their personal space or affect the reputation of the institution will be strictly dealt with.
- The College campus is a no–smoking/ alcohol-free zone.
- Every student should carry his/ her identity card and produce it on demand by the authorities.
- Students are prohibited from organizing or attending meetings in the college, distributing notices, collecting money and exhibiting banners, flags, posters etc. without the permission of the Principal.
- Political/ organizational activities are banned in the campus, save those official activities which are specifically permitted or sponsored by the college authorities.
- All expressions or activities which are immoral, antisocial, communal and anti-national are strictly prohibited in the College campus.
- The Principal shall be the final authority in the interpretation of the College rules. Matters not covered by these rules are left to the discretion of the Principal and his decision shall be final.
