PLACEMENT NEWS & EVENTS

 

Placement & Training (P & T) Cell offers to support budding technocrats for effective placements. The Cell is making every effort to invite companies / organisations for placements to our students.

The P & T Cell of AISAT promotes the students to learn the art of employability through short term courses that focuses on bridging the gap that exists between the curriculum and Industry. The Cell offers practical training program for Engineering Undergraduate students to provide necessary knowledge-base and practical skills required by the organisations, along with improving the Soft Skills of the students.

The placement cell is proactively involved in the vocational programmes including personality development, technical seminars and training  the students starting from the first year, apart from organizing various discussions with field experts for the betterment of the knowledge of the students. The college has also taken the initiative to form a consortium of placement officers of various engineering colleges and industries in the state

The Cell is headed by Prof. Jose V Mathew, Director – P & T Cell.

February 2025

  • P & T Cell members made communications in the P&T Cell official WhatsApp group w.r.t

  • Offline meeting of P & T Cell were conducted on 03/02/2025, 10/02/2025, 17/02/2025 and
    24/02/2025 in room number B505.
  •  External placement training on softskill for two days was conducted by ‘Synergens
    Consultants’ for 2022-26 batch eligible students on 17 th and 18 th February 2025 from 8:00 am
    to 4:00 pm.
  • Eight students from the Civil Department have been removed and 18 interested students with 3
    to 8 arrears from all departments have been added to the eligible group of P&T Cell.
  •  Placement Officers meeting was conducted by CTIPS Kerala on 05/02/2025 from 9:30AM to
    3:30 pm at Coral Reef Hotel, Ernakulam. Prof. Jibin Jose, P&T cell faculty coordinator of
    Mechanical Engineering Department attended the Meeting.
  • Electrifex Placement drive was conducted on 20 th February 2025 at AISAT Campus for the
    registered 45 students from EEE, CSE and ECE.
  • IYYM Placement drive was conducted on 15 th February 2025 at AISAT Campus for the
    registered 10 students from EEE and ME.
  • IBM Skillbuild orientation and registration was conducted by CSR box for S6 Eligible group
    from 10:40AM to 1:30PM on 25th February 2025. Mr. Milan Jayaraj, Engagement associate
    CSRBOX handled the session. 103 students from eligible group of S6 have successfully
    registered, participated and received an e-Certificate. IBM SkillBuild is a free online learning
    platform which offers 8500 short/long term courses. On successful completion students will
    receive e-certificated issued by IBM.
  •  P &T Cell of AISAT have organized a ‘Workshop on interview selection process’ in
    association with ‘Edroot International’ on 12 th February 2025 from 9:10 am to 12:30pm at
    Tesla Hall. 51 interested non-placed students from the eligible group of Batch 10 attended the
    workshop.

  •  External placement training on aptitude for two days was conducted by ‘Synergens

  •  Prof. Jose V. Mathew, Director of P&T, presented updates and future plans of the P&T cell
    during the all-staff meeting conducted on 11 th January 2025.
  •  A general body meeting consisting of all eligible students of Batch 11, Department
    coordinators and director of P&T cell was conducted on 9 th January 2025 from 11:55AM to
    1:30PM at DaVinci hall. The following students were elected as the executive committee

  • Second Executive committee meeting of the academic year 2024-25 was held on 26 th January,
    11:35 AM at Board Room.
  •  18 shortlisted students, six each from CSE, ECE and EEE were sent to College of engineering,
    Munnar for attending the Mock-placement drive conducted by Tata Elxsi on 31 st Jan 2025.
    Prof. Dr. Rakesh S from ECE department accompanied the group. The program was well
    appreciated.
  •  Terawe Placement drive was conducted on 17 th January 2025 at AISAT Campus for the
    registered 51 students from EEE, CSE and ECE.
  •  An elimination notice has been published on 22 nd January 2025 since three students from EEE
    and five students from CSE displayed irresponsible behavior during the placement drives.
  •  AISAT is registered in Infosys Springboard (A Digital literacy program launched as part of the
    Infosys ESG Tech for Good charter) on 31 st January.

  •  Placement training activities were suspended for the current semester from 24/09/2024 due to
    the upcoming university exams.
  •  IBM Skillbuild orientation and registration was conducted by CSR box for S5 and S7 Eligible
    group from 10:50AM to 12:30PM on 1 st October 2024. Mr. Lijo Kurian, Site Reliability
    Engineer from IBM handled the session. 79 and 157 students from S7 and S5 respectively have

  •  P&T Cell Executive committee was constituted and published on 3 rd October 2024. The first
    Executive committee meeting of the academic year 2024-25 was held on 14 th October, 11:35
    AM at Board Room. E-newsletter and brochure committee were constituted during the
    meeting.
