Institutional Risk Management Committee (IRMC) has been formulated in our campus to underscore our ongoing commitment to proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks that may impact our operations, reputation, and overall well-being. The primary objective of the IRMC is to enhance our institution’s resilience and preparedness in the face of various internal and external challenges. By fostering a culture of risk awareness and strategic decision-making, the committee will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our assets, promoting compliance with regulatory requirements, and preserving our institutional values and integrity.

Vision:

To integrate proactive risk management into college operations, enhancing resilience and fostering a secure, thriving educational environment.

Mission:

To identify, assess, and manage risks across the institution, ensuring effective controls and strategies are in place to protect assets, support organizational goals, and promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Objectives

  1. Risk Identification :Recognize potential risks that could impact the institution, including but not limited to academic, financial, operational, and reputational risks.
  2. Risk Assessment: Evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks, prioritizing them based on their severity and significance.
  3. Developing Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies and control measures to minimize the likelihood of adverse events and their potential impact.
  4. Monitor Risks: Regularly monitor and review the effectiveness of risk mitigation effortsand review risk levels and control effectiveness.
  5. Promote Awareness: Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the institution.
  6. Report: Provide regular updates and reports on risk management activities and issues to reports to relevant stakeholders, including the senior leadership team and governing bodies.
  7. Enhance Resilience: Strengthen the institution’s ability to respond to and recover from adverse events.
  8. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies while upholding the highest standards of governance, transparency, and accountability.
