The Department of Applied Science and Humanities plays a vital role in moulding the budding engineers of the institution. We provide courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Economics for undergraduate engineering students. These courses serve as the foundation for engineering studies.

Official bodies in AISAT play a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of academic and administrative functions. These bodies are typically composed of experienced professionals, faculty members, and administrative personnel who collaborate to ensure the institution’s smooth operation and adherence to standards. The Academic Council, for instance, is responsible for shaping the academic policies, curriculum development, and evaluating the quality of education provided. Meanwhile, the Governing Body often holds the ultimate decision-making authority, overseeing the strategic direction and financial aspects of the institution. Additionally, other committees are divided into three categories, namely, Statutory Bodies, Functional Committees and Clubs & Associations.

Responsibilities and functions
• It is the prime body responsible for the management of the Institution.
• Decide the overall strategic direction in terms of approval of the academic, financial and administrative policies of the institution.
• Recommendations and requirements suggested by college council is considered and reviewed.
• Ensures that the ordinances, policies and rules published by the KTU, AICTE and Govt. of Kerala are followed and implemented.
• To formulate new academic programs / short term courses / training facilities /seminars for student and staff development.
• To address the complaints of the students and staffs and take necessary actions required.
• Approve the requirements proposed by Principal for enhancing the academic excellence.
