National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji’s Birth Centenary Year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. AISAT NSS unit is under Kerala state NSS Technical cell.
AISAT NSS unit was inaugurated by NSS state coordinator Shri Abdul Jabbar Ahammed on 23 April 2015 at AISAT Seminar Hall. Various activities conducted under the guidance of AISAT NSS unit are Blood donation camps, Medical camps, Organic farming, awareness campaigns, National and international day observations, Health and energy surveys, visiting orphanages, old age home, and government hospitals, pipe compost, training on making house hold utensils, stem cell donation registration, digital literacy program, distribution of onam kits.

The vision is to build the youth with the mind and spirit to serve the society and work for the social uplift of the down-trodden masses of our nation as a movement
MISSION
The National Service Scheme has been functioning with the motto “NOT ME BUT YOU” in view of making the youth inspired in service of the people and hence NSS Aims Education through Community Service and Community Service through Education.
