LUCENTDRIVE ENERGY SOLUTIONS PVT LTD, offered a short term part time internship program in their manufacturing department to Mechanical Engg students of AISAT. The vision of the company is to inspire young engineers into sustainable and clean energy. Mr Kishor George, CEO of the company informed that at least 40 hours in a span of 3 months should be invested by the selected students to complete the internship. The prerequisite was the knowledge of a designing software. The company is stationed in the incubation centre of AISAT & was involved in the development of a vertical wind turbine. The students were offered a stipend of Rs. 5000/- at the time of completion of the work. This offer was an opportunity to undergo a LIVE PROJECT & it was also satisfying the condition of ENTRE FAIR, which an internship is done at a start-up company. Three students Adarsh Martin, Augustine Nevin Gonsalves & Md. Aslam were selected from S5 ME batch 9 (2020-24) to undergo the internship in ENTRE FAIR scheme. The students were given an opportunity to design, draft and tool various parts of LD vertical wind turbines.
The major aspects covered were as follows:
3D Drawing and simulation in solid edge for mechanical design, simulation, manufacturing,
technical publications, data management, and more.
Structural analysis in Ansys Workbench to integrate data across engineering simulations to
create more accurate models more efficiently.
Introduction to CFD and rotordynamics
Introduction to Arduino, related softwares or IDE (Integrated Development Environment)
used to write and upload computer code to the physical board
The students completed their live project work / ENTRE Fair by May 2023. They were give certificates of internship & a stipend of Rs 5000/- on 26th June 2023 in the presence of Principal Dr. S. Jose. The dept. coordinators for this work was Prof. Asha K R, HOD, Prof. Arun V & Prof. Avinesh Pyarilal.
