The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Albertian Institute of Science and Technology (AISAT) organized Grand Finale of MECH CRAFT ’21 – All Kerala B. Tech Project Competition on 11th August 2021 in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI]. Nearly 30 teams participated from all over Kerala and after various levels of critical evaluation, 9 competitors were selected for the Grand Finale.

                                   Mohammed Inzamam and team from Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science won the first prize of Rs. 10,000/- for their project “Easyfarm – Hydroponics Farming Product”. Jerome George Varghese and team from Saintgits College of Engineering won the second prize of Rs. 6,000/- for their project “Design and Fabrication of Multi-rotational Loader”. Jerom Alan K G and team from KMEA Engineering College won the third prize of Rs. 4,000/- for their project “Flood Proof Safety Airbag System for Cars”. 

            The prize distribution for the same was organized on 29th October 2021 at AISAT, Kalamassery. Prof. Avinesh Pyarilal delivered the welcome and introduction address. Prof. Dr. S Jose, Principal, AISAT offered felicitations where he congratulated the winning teams. He emphasized on the important role of competitions such as this in bringing out the creativity and innovation of the young minds. He expressed his desire that this competition will inspire many students to put more thought and effort into their B. Tech project so that they too can be winners in the coming years.            

            Prizes worth Rs. 20,000/- were distributed to the winning teams. Prof. Paul Ansel V, Vice Principal, AISAT was present for the event along with faculty and students of AISAT. Prof. Nisha B Nair delivered the vote of thanks and the event concluded by 04.00 pm
