ACEA Day Celebrations
The activities of AISAT Civil Engineering Association (ACEA) for the academic year 2018-19 were inaugurated on 16th March 2018. The chief guest Sri. Raman Bhattathiripad, Executive Director , Vastu Vidhya Pratishtanam inaugurated ACEA activities for the academic year 2018-19. The inaugural function was preceded by a technical talk delivered by Sri. Raman Bhattathiripad . He gave a deliberate presentation about the traditional buildings in Kerala and principles of Vastu.
Prof. Vincent K. John, Vice Principal & President ACEA welcomed the guests and friends of AISAT Civil engineering department to the inaugural ceremony. Prof. Dr. Babu T. Jose, Director, AISAT & HOD of Civil Engineering department and Rev.Fr.Joseph Rajan Kizhavana, Assoc. Manager delivered their felicitations.During the event the fifth edition of ‘Srishti’, the annual newsletter was released by the chief guest, Sri.Raman Bhattatiripad
Prof. Dr. Philip Kurian , Principal , AISAT presented Academic Excellence Award for the best performers in B Tech semester examinations.
In connection with AISAT Day Celebrations, a Deminar on NDT was conducted and it was inaugurated by Rev.Fr.Denny Mathew Peringatt, Manager, AISAT. Students got an opportunity to get more knowledge about Non Destructive Testing.
“BUILDER BRAINS”- An inter collegiate quiz competition on civil engineering was conducted. There was excellent participation of students from various colleges across the state and six teams were selected from prelims for the grand finale. The first prize was bagged by the team consisting of Ms.Aswathy E.B and Ms. Chinnu Treasa from Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kakkanad. The second prize winners were Ms.Catherine George and Ms.Athulya J Chettoor from Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science. The winners were honoured with cash prizes and certificates.
The event was blessed with the presence of friends from the academia and the industry, faculty members of other departments and also with the wholehearted participation of the students.
