The Department of Civil Engineering, AISAT organized a FDP on Sustainable Development through Green Technology from 4th to 16th December 2017 under AICTE Quality Improvement Scheme (AQIS). The FDP was inaugurated by Padma Shri Ar.G.Shankar , a renowned architect and founder of Habitat Group.

FDP mainly focused on green technology concept in order to stimulate more rapid global progress on sustainable development. It provided an interdisciplinary form on global sustainable development and eminent personalities from IITs, NITs, CUSAT and industries shared their experiences and research findings in the field of green housing and green architecture, energy conservation in buildings, sustainable building materials and manufacturing practices, sustainable practices. They pointed out on a crucial need to adopt green technologies like energy efficiency, recycling etc.

Site visit I at FRBL Plant (FACT) on 06.12.17

Site visit II at Noel Green Nature , Kakkanad on 08.12.2017

Site visit III at 14.4MWp Solar PV Plant at CIAL on 11.12.2017

The valedictory function was held on 16.12.2017 with Prof M.K.Prasad (Former Vice Chancellor, Calicut University) as the chief guest.

Participants shared their feedback about the two week FDP at AISAT. Assoc.Manager Fr.Joseph Rajan Kizhavana appreciated and congratulated the participants of FDP and Department of Civil Engineering for conducting the FDP in such an organized manner.
