AISAT celebrated Engineer’s day on 23rd September 2014 (15th September 2014). The day is celebrated every year in India as Engineer’s Day to commemorate the birthday of the legendary engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya (1861-1962).His works have been recognized internationally for his intellectual prowess in harnessing water resources. It’s having been misconstrued that Visvesvaraya has contributed in development only in Karnataka, but in reality he has served his entire career for the country. He has contributed in engineering for more than 30 years, 20 years as administrator and 20 years as advisor and statesman. He was known for sincerity, time management and dedication to a cause.

The programme Presided by the chief guest of the day Prof. Dr. V. S. Raju, Former Director, IIT-New Delhi, started with the welcome speech by Rev. Dr. Clement Valluvassery, Manager, AISAT. He spoke about the various challenges & opportunities for young budding engineers who are the future of our nation .  Prof. Dr. V. S. Raju gave a descriptive lecture on holistic development of the students. Professor stressed out the comparative study between INDIA and CHINA  development models. He pointed out the importance of taking up Teaching as a career . The session was highly inspiring and motivating. Rev.Fr. Alex Kurishuparambil, Associate Manager, AISAT, handed over the memento to  Prof. Dr. V. S. Raju as a token of love.  Prof. Vincent K John,Vice- Principal, AISAT proposed the vote of thanks .
