A one day workshop was conducted for the fifth semester B-Tech Civil Engineering students on 18th September 2014. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with ICI, Kochi chapter and was arranged in continuation to the industrial visit made by the students to the RMC plant, Binanipuram. The sessions were handled by the experts from RMC Readymix (India). The morning session was delivered by Er. Shelly S. Fernandez, General Manager, RMC, Aluva on the various ‘Practical issues faced by a Civil Engineer’ and the ‘Methods to carryout good quality Concrete work’. The afternoon session was handled by Er. Siddhesh R. Kamath,Assistant Manger,RMC about the ‘Materials used in Concreting and the latest advancements in Concrete technology’.
