The three-day faculty development Programme KAIZEN14’ was inaugurated on 12-06-14 at 9.30 A.M. Dr. K.E George, Principal, AISAT welcomed the gathering. Dr. B.Mukhopadhyay, former professor and head, Department of Applied Phsycology and educational management, NITTTR, Chennai addressed the gathering. He glorified the nobility of teaching profession. He said, teachers need to continuously attend faculty training and orientation programmes because, it is only through practice and constant exposure to knowledge and skills, teachers can perform well.
Prof.Dr.V Job Kuruvila, Director Thoughtlinks stated that the faculty standard determines the strength of an institution. Hence the members on the staff should evince immense interest in participating in training programmes. Rev.Dr.Clement Valluvassery, Manager,AISAT in his presidential address quoted “Teaching is a noble and divine profession as teachers mould up the next generation”. The inaugural session was interactive and informative benefitting the participants to a great extent.
The three day programme witnessed excellent sessions both informative and thought-provoking. The various sessions were handled by eminent personalities. The micro-teaching practice and the evaluation session were beneficial for the budding as well as trained teachers.
The concluding session marked the presence of Padmashree Dr.Tony Fernandez. AISAT family felicitated him on his Birthday with warm wishes and cake cutting ceremony.
