Finally the auspicious day arrived; to put an end to eager waiting and the tireless preparations and organizing. AISAT celebrated Arts day ‘Chrysalis ‘14’ on 28th February. The event saw entertainment at its best as the 1st Arts day edition kicked off with an official inaugural ceremony. Principal, Dr.K.E.George welcomed the gathering and wished that the day and events will deliver entertainment, fun and inspiration to all out there. Mr. Mecartin the famous Indian screenwriter and film director, in the Rafi Mecartin Duo,was the chief guest of the day. In his Inaugural address he said that taking time away from the structured timetable and being part of such cultural extra vagensa will give students the ability to “think outside the box” as it were, to see things with a different pair of eyes. Manager Rev. Fr. Clement Valluvassery said that the arts day has a noble aim to help the students showcase their talents. He also said that the event would provide a forum for the display of student-talent and creative skills and would emphasize the seamless interconnections between high education and culture. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Kiran Sebastin, Arts secretary. The campus reverberated with song and dance amidst all the competition and team spirit. There was a surprise event too with a lot of surprises in store for the audience. The day witnessed handful of competitions including Elocution, Mime, Mon act, Dance events, Fashion show etc. that upped the glam quotient of the day.
