Lumina, The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Association organized a talk on Transformers and Recent Advancements on 25th February. Mr. Anil Kumar, Senior Manager BPCL, was the resource person. The talk mainly focused on transformers. He gave an excellent introduction on the topic and well portrayed the applications of transformers in various fields. The various types of transformers, recent advancements in transformer design and the upcoming technologies were discussed during the talk. An interactive doubt clearing session was yet another attraction of the talk. The talk was of extreme value for the Electrical students, and they very well utilized the opportunity to clarify their doubts.
