AISAT Engineering college celebrated Engineer’s Day with great enthusiasm and zeal on 27th September. Engineer’s day is celebrated throughout India on the reminiscence of Bharat Ratna Sir. Mokshagunddam Viswaeswarrarayya. He is an Internationally recognized wizard Engineer, and a genius in harnessing resources. He is considered as the precursor of economic planning in India. The celebration was chaired by Rev.Dr.Clement Valluvassery,Manager AISAT, Dr.Babu T Jose, Director AISAT, Dr.K E George,Principal AISAT and Mr. M.B Naik, Chief Consultant Gammon. Rev.Dr.Clement Valluvassery in his welcome note said that this celebration is a tribute to the great Engineer’s around the world. The chief Guest of the celebration was Dr.Gautam .N Gandhi, President Indian Geotechnical Society. He observed that Engineer’s have a great role in revolutionizing the quality of life. The young Engineer’s have to concentrate on research and should contribute selflessly to National development. He highlighted the marvels of science and technology. The students are to study to know the fundamentals and to apply it to lively situations. He also opined that an Engineer should know well to balance between ‘cost, price, value and demand’. An engineer should update his knowledge and should develop the quality to ‘think outside the box’. Dr.Babu T Jose, Director AISAT, and Dr.K E George,Principal AISAT, also addressed the gathering. Mr.Paul Ansel,Asst.Professor,Department of Electronics and Communication proposed the vote of thanks. The program ended with a lot of energy,enthusiasm and zeal.
