“Nano technology will be the new revolution in the construction area” predicted by Prof.Dr. A.V.George, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Unversity. He was inaugurating the Civil Engineering Association of Albertian Institute of Science and Technology (AISAT) at Kalamassery, on 26th February 2013.

Prof.Dr. A.V.George in his inaugural speech further commented – “Nano products, especially carbon nano products are 15 times stronger than conventional iron materials. Similar new technical inventions are now practised in the civil engineering world. Nano science is a field where a geologist and a civil engineer can join their hands; construction of dam is an instance. Engineering students should aquire the knowledge about the new applications in thier field so that they can compete with their counterparts from other world universities. UGC is also insisting on the academic world for moulding students to make suitable for society”.
