“Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship are the four special areas through which the development of a nation can be achieved. Until and unless we focus in these areas our country will never progress. Engineering students of Kerala should utilize the recently developed Technology Based Incubation centers which train them to be successful entrepreneurs, thereby creating more job opportunities which is the need of the hour “, said Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha, Principal, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering. He was inaugurating Avanza ’13 the paper presentation contest for the Engineering students in Kerala on “The Inspiring lives in Mechanical Engineering” conducted in Albertian Institute of Science and Technology AISAT, Kalamassery on 16th February 2013.
The function was presided over by Dr. T.K Mani, Principal of the college. The college Manager Rev. Dr. Clement Valluvassery, Director Dr. Babu T Jose, Associate Manager Fr. Alex Kurisuparambil, Prof. Mukundankutty, and Asst. Professor Naibin George spoke on the occasion.
In the contest, the 1st prize was bagged by Dinesh N.A of SCMS School of Engineering; 2nd prize by Nandu S Kumar, Sebine Francis and Melbine Benny of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology Palai and 3rd prize was won by Eldho Samuel, Jithin John & Adithya S Nair of Rajagiri College of Engineering and Technology, Kakkanad.
