About AISAT IEDC

To foster entrepreneurship, develop and encourage a spirit of innovation and a drive to follow their passion amongst the student community, Kerala startup mission sanctioned an amount of two lakh rupees to AISAT IEDC by the proposal given by Mr. Tiju Baby, Asst. Professor EEE Dept. officer AISAT IEDC on September 22, 2016 and Now AISAT recognized as an Official  Start up Boot Camp of Kerala Startup Mission

VISION

“To be a self-sustained TBI catering to the needs of young student entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of social relevance and there by introducing a culture of entrepreneurship inside campus which will strengthen our education system and there by promoting the national economical and social growth”

MISSION

“To develop an ecosystem with required infrastructure that can enable students and faculty to innovate and prototype their potential ideas with industrial standards and support from Government, industry and reputed academic institutions around the world and help them to realize their potentials”

OBJECTIVE

  • Create a student friendly ecosystem favoring learning and development of all forms of creative skills in the Institution.
    • To become a platform for cultural change and organize workshops, seminars or
    informal conferences on topics covering every creative intent.
    • To encourage and accelerate the up-gradation of research and development (R&D)
    facilities in the college, spearhead cultural activities and help create an atmosphere
    of knowledge sharing.
    • To promote knowledge driven and technology based start up ventures by students,
    faculty personnel, other local entrepreneurs and employee turned entrepreneurs.

FAB LAB VISITS

15 students AISAT to visited Fablab on 30th July 2016. Students  reached the FABLAB at 10.30 am. The Kerala Start up mission employee Mr. Daniel Jeevan received us and gave a brief introduction about FABLAB.

CREATIVITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORKSHOP-SLATE AND PENCIL

Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of Albertian institute of Science and Technology-AISAT, Kochi, one among the best performing IEDCs in Kerala, in association with Kerala startup Mission organized two day workshop on creativity “Slate and Pencil” on 11th and 12th March 2017.

The workshop detailed about entrepreneurship, self-assessment, and how to write a business plan. The workshops focused on what it means to be an entrepreneur and innovative thinking. Throughout the self-assessment portion of the workshop, students got reflected on their passions and generate new ideas. Then participants collectively worked on a series of creative problem-solving activities and find innovative solutions for issues in their communities. Finally, students were able to learn the basics of a business model and practice developing their own business plan as a team.

The program started with inaugural function of the workshop presided by Dr. K.E George Principal AISAT, Rev. Dr. Clement Valluvassery, Manager AISAT inaugurated the function in  the presence of Mr. Tiju Baby, IEDC nodal officer AISAT.  Mr. Alex Paul and Ms. Traise Susan V.J were the coordinators of the Program. Prof Arun J S and Prof Aneesh S, IEDC Nodal officer of Heera Enginerring College and SNIT Adoor respectively were the resource persons.

 

“Students show tremendous interest in this workshop, and we are always amazed with how much they can learn and apply within a day,” said Prof. K.E George, Principal AISAT. “The feedback obtained from the participants showed that the workshop was effective in teaching them how to develop and expand their entrepreneurial mindset through creativity and problem-solving activities.”
