B.Tech Admission 2016-17 – Govt. Merit

Albertian Institute of Science and Technology (AISAT) is a member college of Kerala Catholic Engineering College Managements’ Association (KCECMA). There is an agreement between KCECMA and Government of Kerala. {Ref. G.O.(Ms) No. 258/2014/ H.Edn}. According to this agreement, 50% of the B.Tech. seats in all the member colleges of KCECMA will be allotted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) for the year 2016-17. Remaining 50% of the B.Tech. seats will be filled by the college on merit by inviting applications. (see KCECMA Prospectus, Aisat Brochure & Photo Gallery)

B.TECH.PROGRAMMES & INTAKE*

Civil Engineering (CE) – 60 seats

Mechanical Engineering (ME) – 60 seats

Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) – 60 seats

Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) – 60 seats

Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) – 60 seats

(* 5% of the total annual intake, in excess, is reserved for students who will be admitted under Tuition Fee Waiver scheme.)

 Eligibility for Admission:

o Academic Requirements:

i) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Fifty percent marks in Mathematics separately  and Fifty percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade (45% for SEBC & OEC).

(ii) Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.

o Age :

Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2016. No relaxation of age will be allowed.

 

 

CHECK LIST for the candidates alloted to AISAT 

  1. Print of application submitted duly signed by the candidate and the parent (if not submitted).
  2. Data Sheet (if available).
  3. CASH/DD for Rs. 197000/-(ONE LAKH AND NINETY SEVEN THOUSAND ONLY)
  4. Original and self-attested copy of 10th standard pass certificate.
  5. 10th standard marklist in original and a self-attested copy.
  6. 12th standard pass certificate in original (if available)
  7. 12th standard marklist in original and a self-attested copy.
  8. Admit card of KEAM 2016.
  9. KEAM 2016 Mark Data Sheet.
  10. Transfer certificate from the institution last attended.
  11. Character and Conduct certificate from the institution last attended.
  12. Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner (as per annexure XVII (b) of KEAM Prospectus 2016).
  13. Equivalence/recognition certificate of the qualifying examination (Not applicable to Kerala HSE, CBSE, ICSE).
  14. Original certificate to prove reservation claims, if any.
  15. Original certificate from the parish priest to consider in the Christian/ Latin Christian Community merit.
  16. Three passport size photographs.
  17. Receipt of fee from the bank remitted in favour of CEE.

Further details regarding the admission:

a. It will take about 4 hour time to finish the admission process. Parents and candidates are requested to wait with patience to complete the procedure.

b. Only the candidate and the parents/guardian will be allowed to enter the counters during the allotment process.

c. Admission will be confirmed only after submitting all the certificates in original and the fees in DD/cash.

d. DD should be taken in favour of Albertian Institute of Science and Technology payable at Ernakulam.

 

e. If a candidate wishes to have hostel accommodation, he/she has to fill in the application form and submit the application duly filled at the counter.

f. As per G.O(MS). No. 252/2014/H.Edn, dated 07/06/2014 clause (14), if a candidate wishes to cancel his/her admission, then full fee (after deducting Rs.1000/-) will be refunded only if he/she cancels admission on or before 25th July 2016.

g. Candidates have to ensure that they have enough copies of their certificates for their personal use as the certificates once submitted can’t be taken back immediately.
